RWS 2.0 which includes SNW will take a lot before details are released - the plan has USS taking over some of the golf course and the rest of the golf course being used for other RWS development. SNW will move forward; But the scale will depend on RWS2.0 approvals.

I'll be there this weekend to enjoy the new land. The thing to remember for anything HKDL - Land size is so small and they can't just 'get more land'. Also need to remember it is reclaimed land so anything that is super heavy (like the castle) still sinks a little after construction.

The Carousel looks more like the UBR Lanterns of Legendary Legends in Kung Foo Panda.

    Key Highlights
    • Construction starts in 2022, opening in end-2024
    • A world’s first original ride exclusive to Universal Studios Singapore (Evidently from the pic, its some sort of swing chair ride)
    • Despicable Me Minion Mayhem – an immersive motion-simulator3D ride featuring a hyper-realistic projection system

As far as I am aware it has been put on 'hold until further notice' not cancelled.

They still need to take out all the Fox theming on the rides and find/create new themes.

Mostly I think they are waiting for new concept/design before bringing people back to finish most works. So I guess it's a minimal crew until then.

All IP content will need to be pulled out.

I heard they were working on the structural support. So a lot of this wont be seen yet as it's internal in the current structure.

For now, no. The area looks like it will be land for future development.

My guess is it will go forward with Disney allowing Genting to franchise it - depending on the quality of the finished park and rides. Or the project will lose its IP.

Speculation is that they will open once 80% of rides are ready. Based on what you can see from the construction pictures, it could be by the end of 2018 or 2019.

    Jeju Shinhwa World

It looks like Jeju Landing Development that purchased the land previously for Resort World Jeju has renamed the project.

Project name now seems to be: Jeju Shinhwa World
