Here are more details on MLP. This time, I bring news from S.E.A. Aquarium, and not Adventure Cove Waterpark!

    More photos and details here:
Marine Life Park: S.E.A. Aquarium - Sneak Peek | dejiki.com

    Full list of exhibits:
Strait of Karimata and Java Sea
Strait of Malacca and Andaman Sea
Bay of Bengal and Laccadive Sea
    Dolphin Island
    Ocean Journey
    Open Ocean
    Arabian Gulf and Arabian Sea
    Red Sea
    East Africa
    South China Sea
    Shark Seas

    Further Info
Strait of Karimata and Java Sea: Tunnel, connected to Shipwreck Habitat
Shark Seas: Tunnel, with a big window beside it
Dolphin Island: should offer underwater views of the large pools outside
    Open Ocean: The LARGEST exhibit!

The entrance to S.E.A. Aquarium is located within Maritime Experiential Museum. Basically, you can access the Museum if you have a ticket to the Aquarium. You'll need to walk most parts of the Upper level (Souk gallery) to get to the escalators to bring you to the actual Aquarium entrance.

Entrance to the Aquarium leads directly to the first tunnel (or you can turn left to see Shipwreck Habitat)

Logically, this area should be the exit. That's the Shark Seas tunnel and its larger window.

Merchandise for the Aquarium is sold at the Maritime Experiential Museum. Interestingly, the supposedly "shy" dolphins look more like sleepy (or even sad) dolphins.

    Maybe, and definitely.

If my research is correct, Marine Life Park will be open to public no later than 1st December 2012.

Here's a couple of photos from me. I caught the BluWater Bay wave pool in operation. Looks nice, though the waves are kinda short (well, it's meant to be a relaxing pool, not a "surfing" wave pool anyway anyway):

I went to the resort yesterday and the park looks fantastic. The BluWater Bay (wave pool) has been completely repaired. Some repainting works are being done for pool shades' support pillars. The only major work appears to be the replacement of the Aquarium building's roof.

SINGAPORE - Resorts World Sentosa is set for a grand opening on Dec 7, as it puts the finishing touches on its second anchor attraction - the Marine Life Park.

But don't expect the 25 dolphins - caught in waters off the Solomon Islands, near Papua New Guinea - which have been a point of contention for animal-rights activists, to be there then.

Resorts World said at a media briefing yesterday that the arrival dates of the Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins have not been firmed up yet. The mammals are being held in Subic Bay in the Philippines.

The dolphins are to be part of a series of immersive programmes beginning next year, to be held at the park's Adventure Cove Waterpark.

PS. Apologies for the mix-up in the previous post with regards to MLP opening date and RWS grand opening. The resort has announced that MLP will be open in time for the December school holidays here (which starts from 17 November). Thus, a mid/late-November opening for MLP is possible.

As for Marine Life Park's opening date, I've been hearing that it's in December. But who knows, the park might soft-open some sections earlier.

I was at the MLP area yesterday and the progress has improved greatly. For those who have been keeping up with my updates, it's close to "from the air 3" where the Dolphin pools are cleaned/prepped with the green water. Some slides at the Adventure Cove are in operation too with team members undergoing training/testing (or just enjoying) the slides.

I'll have the photos up tomorrow.

Take a look at this old resort map, which shows how the original Equarius Water Park and Marine Life Park were initially planned, with Equarius Hotel in the middle.

This park went through several design iterations. In case anyone's interested, here's the original concept art. The park was designed with two levels in mind (a street level and an "underwater" level, for "tank viewing") for different experiences. Not sure if we'll be getting this in the final version - too much construction going on to discern anyway.

Good thing they scaled back the Equarius Hotel and stuffed it in the corner. The current MLP looks a lot larger than the concept art.
