On May 7th, Merlin Entertainments – a global leader in branded entertainment destinations - has today officially announced 5th July as the opening date of its largest LEGOLAND in the world at its opening, LEGOLAND® Shanghai Resort.

As anticipation builds, the final construction phase of LEGOLAND Shanghai Resort marks a major milestone towards opening a destination where imagination comes to life, brick by brick. The construction site is bustling with activities, and the overall project is in full swing for final optimization before completion. Park arch has been officially installed, marking another milestone in the park's construction.

The wonderful rides and attractions are gradually unveiling their mysterious veils. All 24 core rides are now in the commissioning stage for final pre-opening adjustments and are about to kick off a series of fun-filled adventures for tourists.

Currently the Resort’s exterior facades and paving work are concluding, showcasing vibrant brick inspired architecture that captures the playful spirit of LEGO creativity. A major milestone has also been reached with the completion and official handover of the highly anticipated LEGOLAND® Hotel, which will be a central hub for immersive family experiences and imaginative stays.

The preparatory work for the operation of the park has been progressing in an orderly manner. Before the trial operation begins, nearly 100 emergency drills are being conducted. The recruitment work is about to conclude. Around 1000 staff with passion and dreams are to join LEGOLAND Shanghai family full of joy and vitality.

The centrepiece of LEGOLAND Shanghai Resort is coming to life as construction on MINILAND, a signature attraction which is set to be one of the most iconic worldwide, is also progressing smoothly and nearing completion.
