On November 6th, Merlin Entertainments – the global leader in branded entertainment destinations, once again appeared at the China International Import Expo (CIIE) to feature LEGOLAND® Shanghai Resort, its new international IP themed park. As a comprehensive tourist destination specifically designed for families with children aged 2-12, LEGOLAND Shanghai Resort featured a booth event themed “Here in Shanghai, let the imagination land with fun”, officially announced the grand opening in Summer 2025 and demonstrated its holistic park experience through the full resort concept video, vividly showcasing the remarkable charm of the 11th LEGOLAND globally and very first in China. Meanwhile, LEGOLAND Shanghai Resort launched its membership program, inviting the public to sign up for exclusive sneak peaks of construction progress, tickets launch and limited products launch, and embark on a family journey filled with creativity and unlimited imagination in advance.

As of now, most of the rides for LEGOLAND Shanghai Resort are delivered locally and smoothly transitioned into the installation phase. Among them, the installation of the mechanical track and towers for the highly anticipated The Dragon Coaster has been completed. Meanwhile, the installation of the mechanical track equipment for the landmark ride, The Big LEGO Coaster, as well as our world’s first MONKIE KID Flower Fruit Mountain Adventure, is underway. We aim to start testing some of the rides by the end of 2024 to guarantee an unparalleled experience for visitors. Furthermore, with the interior and exterior work in full swing, landscaping and paving projects in certain areas have also commenced.
