Canopy by Hilton will have a location at Lego Square outside the theme park:

  2. I'm surprised they've recycled the Legoland Korea artwork for China. You can see the bridge on the bottom left (not to mention the lake and mountains) and some of the Seoul landmarks (Lotte Tower and Namsan Tower) to the right of the Lego castle.

New rendering released of the retail, dining, and entertainment area that will be located outside of the park:

Design and preparatory work is moving along and pile driving is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of this year.

Some of the rides and the respective manufacturers are being announced via tender bids. Some of the bigger announcements include Lego Factory Adventure by ETF Ride Systems, a roller coaster by Bolliger & Mabillard, Lego Ninjago the Ride by ART Engineering, and an Observation Tower by Sansei Technologies.

Third Legoland in China is now officially under construction!

Located in Fengjing town, Jinshan District, the LEGOLAND Shanghai Resort is on the southern side of Jinshan North Station and north of Tingfeng Highway. Covering approximately 31.8 hectares, the Resort has been invested in by JUIC, KIRKBI, Merlin Entertainments and CMC Inc., with the park expected to open in 2024.

As the first family-focused international IP-based theme park resort in the Yangtze River Delta area, it is designed to provide 2- to 12-year-old children and their families with unique theme park experiences which integrate local Shanghai features and traditional water town elements.

It is also the first LEGOLAND Park to have a land themed on a famous LEGO product line inspired by a timeless Chinese legend. Based on the classic novel Journey to the West and the 500-year-old legend of the Monkey King, Monkie Kid™ is designed to connect Chinese children with their heritage and unleash their creativity. Based on this popular story, LEGOLAND Shanghai Resort will build a unique Monkie Kid zone that takes on references from traditional Chinese architectural style and China’s iconic nature landscape.

Legoland Shanghai Resort will also introduce world-class rides, use VR, AR, and other new technologies and elements to create a brand-new amusement experience, and combine the Lego spirit of “hands-on, interaction, and sharing” with edutainment. Lego's concept is integrated into it to provide tourists with a fun experience of technology-enabled play.
