Legoland leaders, who had planned to open their $500 million theme park on July 4, now say they will soon announce a new opening date for next year. (The park’s season will run from April to October). Legoland’s primary construction, which resumed just after Memorial Day, will ramp up gradually in the coming weeks because protecting worker safety is a top priority, a Legoland spokesman said.
