Updates from the installation of the Giant Red Dragon done last Feb 2016:

  4. I would highly doubt another theme park from Merlin. They don't have any other brands to roll out in way of theme parks.
Well, AFAIK they do own everything including naming rights of the other theme parks they own. But I also doubt they'll build up a "Chessington Dubai" or "Alton Arabia".

I would expect that once LEGOLAND is done they will go for the 3 standard mall installations of SEALIFE, LEGOLAND Discovery Centre and Madame Tussaud's like they did in Orlando. I doubt they would bother with an observation wheel due to competition from other viewing platforms.
I would wonder a little why they made such a fuss about it at the presentation then. However, it might indeed be possible that they'll talk about a Midway Attractions spot. They could also bring the Dungeons (would they work in Arabia?) and the newly concepted "Shrek's Adventure" midway attraction to the equation.

SEA LIFE is often included within LEGOLAND and the Discovery Centre would only make sense in terms of a different location. If the stick to the DBX property and want to expand with the help of their Midway brands, to me Madame Tussaud's, Shrek's Adventure and Dungeons would be the most likely - especially for the evening entertainment areas. We'll see.

Greetings from Munich, where the once promised Munich Dungeon is dearly missed.

Not sure if this was already posted but here's the map for LEGOLAND Dubai:

This was published on Bēhance back in March of 2015 so of course certain aspects of the park shown in the map could have changed.

    Posted yesterday in DPR

According to the Prelims & Strategy presentation of Merlin in February, Merlin Entertainments is
"nearly ready" to announce another Merlin acitivity in the Dubai region (besides Legoland and the Waterpark),
that was settled within the agreement with DBX. Anyone know, what this could mean?
I think so it may relate to the rumors about Madame Tussade opening in Blue water Island
but it's just a speculation based on stories I've heard on the past. So, don't take my word for that.

You can now buy an Annual Pass which gives you special access to the pre-opening events and and preview days. No news yet as to when those dates will be announced though...
