IMG Worlds announces new theme park “IMG Worlds of Legends”
IMG Worlds, the Dubai-based owner and operator of the world’s largest indoor theme park, IMG Worlds of Adventure, announced that it will build a new over 2 million square feet theme park, IMG Worlds of Legends.
The press conference which was held at IMG Worlds of Adventure on Tuesday was attended by the owners of IMG Worlds, Mr. Ilyas and Mr. Mustafa Galadari, and senior team members of the new IPs of the park, including Ryuji Kochi, President of Toei Animation Europe, Colin Palmer, Vice President of Marketing of The Pokémon Company International, Raffaele Annecchino, President and Managing Director of Viacom International Media Networks Southern & Western Europe, Middle East and Africa, Hiroaki Saiki, Deputy General Manager of Animation Division for TV Tokyo, Gustavo Antonioni, Managing Director of Saban Brands for Europe Middle East and Africa, Justine Richardson, Vice President of Global Content Distribution and Strategy, Attractions at Mattel, Inc. , Jean de-Rivieres, Senior Vice President, Head of Theme Park Division and Executive Producer for Ubisoft and Ali El-Hagar, Licensing Director of Cartoon Network Middle East and North Africa plus key members of both the local and international media.
At the press conference Lennard Otto, the CEO of IMG Worlds, presented the plans for the new development, which is one of the biggest global licensing deals of its kind.
IMG Worlds of Legends, will feature nine unique zones that bring together globally celebrated entertainment brands, including Ubisoft®, Mattel, Nickelodeon, Saban Brands, Pokémon, Cartoon Network, Toei Animation and TV TOKYO.
The park will also feature two of IMG Worlds’ proprietary brands: Legends of Arabia and Lost Valley – Dinosaur Adventure. IMG Worlds of Legends promises to deliver a one-of-a-kind theme park experience, including 104,000 square feet of food and beverage space and 102,000 square feet of retail space.
IMG Worlds of Adventure and IMG Worlds of Legends will become the ultimate leisure and entertainment destination in Dubai, spanning over 6 million square feet and thirteen global brands. IMG Worlds, is the entertainment arm of Ilyas and Mustafa Galadari Group.
