Metro Tower
6% complete after 10 years

@einekleineemail, I always see you asking for IMG pictures and news. Which tower have you invested in?

I think the opening shifted to 2016, haven't they? I'm not sure. Probably someone meeting them in London has found out?

How will IMG Worlds of Adventure compete with Dubai Parks & Resorts. I assume they will open at about the same time, and the latter has way more attractions, budget and marketing competence. Chances are IMG WoA will be an instant failure.

IMG still has some good brands, though.

Personally, I would encourage both players to work together, probably offering a combined ticket for all theme park attractions in the region. IMG has some standouts that DPR doesn't have and vice-versa.

Have they announced a new opening date?

They were supposed to open 2 years ago....

IMG Group, the developer of a theme park, had told Emirates 24|7 in May that they were on track to open their entertainment facility by end-2013.

Apart from IMG Worlds of Adventure, no progress on City of Arabia:

1. Metro Tower in City of Arabia is on hold without any contractor and any plan (new progress reports are available on the RERA website: https://www.dubailand.gov.ae/English/Pages/RERA/AboutRERA.aspx)
2. I&M Tower and Wadi Walk in City of Arabia are on hold without any contractor and any plan.
3. Wadi Tower is 80% complete, but currently on hold, as well.

They keep building this theme park like it's never gonna end. Can we have an opening date now since it looks complete from outside?

Judging from IMG staff's photo editing skills and associated HR department competence, this will be a terribly cheap and poorly-run theme park.
