Is that really the structure of the castle? It seems like they are creating some rockwork at the railroad underpass entrance.

Even though I didn’t say it, my reasoning for not liking the building is the following.

It is not particularly wrong, the castle in Shanghai is built with a function and that is making the building bulky and not particularly “pretty”. It very much fits with the overall park, as that whole park is gigantic. The details within the building are fantastic, it’s just huge with its restaurant, show, basement attraction, walkthrough attraction and meet and greet locations. No other castle has that many functions within one building.

Just curious, what did Disney do wrong with the Shanghai castle?

Hoardings around the castle have been taken down, but the area is still separated by plants instead. While the castle viewing area is not yet accessible to the public, it can be seen from outside.
