The Bolt powered coaster at Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park has begun testing

  2. One of the park workers shared some pictures of the interior of the SFX coaster it looks like they are in the middle of a cleaning job or something. Can't get too hopeful because this attraction looks like it would be difficult to produce.

This is all good news and I’m glad both parks are opening one of their stand out attractions!

  4. Glad to here Mad Ramp Peak is opening soon. Hopefully the daily visitors to the park will increase as well. Thanks for the latest update by the way.

    Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park update:

General info: The Bolt (powered coaster) is located on Level 3.

The Bolt powered coaster is opening sometime around in mid-June (hopefully no delay again).

According to one of the park manager, he said the ‘evacuation platform’ has been installed recently and Skytropolis team (who are involved on the ride) are going through training and conducting cycle tests in preparation for the opening.

Sky VR is permanently closed and a unique experience is coming to the original location soon.

Woah it's been awhile since Mad Ramp Peak tested... it's good to know the park is trying their best and have no plans to abandon Mad Ramp Peak... Please work!

  6. From what we understand, there will be an opening sometime between 26-28, for all the rides and an official refurbishment for the entrance and the central plaza. The commment was left by a staff member at Genting Highlands, so hopefully all rides will be open soon.

Mad Ramp Peak is testing during my visit today and it got stuck at the corner near the entrance. The maintenance workers have been working on it since I entered the park and there's barely any movement on the coaster train.

I don't think Genting is abandoning the coaster, well at least Mad Ramp Peak. I feel like they have plans to replace the SFX coaster in the future. Not too sure about Mad Ramp Peak.

  9. It wasn't abandoned. It's a future attraction and they're still working on it as I heard from a staff member. Same goes for Wings Over Rio since they're still in the soft opening phase. We might see Mad Ramp Peak open first and then SFX coaster by 2026/2027 hopefully.

Not an expert here, but why would Genting abandon this ride rather than find a new company to continue building it?
