Some information from one of the employees there says Genting claimed that Fox frustrated his efforts to use clips from "Planet of the Apes" by refusing to send a letter of support to Charlton Heston's estate. The developers tried to use 177 clips from the Fox movie, but were only able to acquire the rights to 52.

Looks like the Planet of the Apes attraction has changed from the original plan. It was supposed to be a trail type ride and have an elevator but they changed the ride to a no trail and no elevator ride.
