just got back from genting, and it does not seem near completion

100+ workers arrested for not having the proper papers on the 20th Century Fox site. That won't help construction progress.

Any recent photo updates? There must be so much more to see now.

Seriously, before they even think about completing the theme park, get those hotels renovated!! As well as the surrounding areas, it's worse than some budget hotels I've seen!

Not sure if this is worse news or just confirming what we all know from the pictures.

Japanese brokerage Nomura says completion of 20th Century Fox World Malaysia – a theme park being developed at Genting Malaysia Bhd’s hillside casino resort outside Kuala Lumpur – “will not happen before end-2017”.

Nomura added that the expected capital cost for the Malaysian theme park alone was around a quarter of the total revamp budget, or MYR2 billion to MYR2.5 billion, although it said that was “not an extraordinary amount” by the standards of modern theme parks.

“We believe that the increase in capital expenditure is not necessarily a negative from a strategic perspective: Genting is likely to continue to generate strong operating cash flow [annually] from the Malaysia operation, of MYR2 billion,” said the analysts.
