Dubai Parks and Resorts is now 50% complete.

Announcing its first quarter results for 2015, the company said it is “on track” to launch the project in October 2016, with 42 percent of project infrastructure, 67 percent of procurement and 40 percent of theme park rides engineering and manufacturing completed.

White Water, which has supplied the rides for Aquaventure Waterpark at Atlantis The Palm in Dubai and most of the ones at Abu Dhabi’s Yas Waterworld, will deliver a river rapids ride for the Motiongate theme park, which is scheduled to open in Dubai in October 2016.

Lionsgate has revealed plans to open a zone in Dubai Parks and Resorts. It will feature the global blockbuster The Hunger Games and will also incorporate a live show based on Step Up: All In and Step Up: Revolution.
