Not really true. DPX has declared a delay for most parks already:It will open on Oct 31, no doubt about it. Marketing is in full swing, reservations are open for the hotel, tickets are on sale, communication is ongoing, including interviews from leaders with no mention of a delay whatsoever.
"Dubai Parks and Resorts, the region’s largest integrated theme park destination, announced today that it will now open on 31st October with LEGOLAND® Dubai and Riverland™ Dubai, the retail dining and entertainment district. Bollywood Parks™ Dubai, LEGOLAND® Water Park and the Lapita™ Hotel will open to the public on 15th November while MOTIONGATE™ Dubai will premiere on 16th December."
I feel lucky that I haven't booked my flight yet or I would be really angry now. Such delay notice on such a short term. While I love what Dubai is trying to built up, I definitively cannot comprehend their lack of capabilities to plan on schedule (probably that's because I'm German and delays of this type is terrible to me).
Exactly, at the minimum 1.5 months old.
Now, can we just stop with the "there is no way this will open on time" ? It will open on Oct 31, no doubt about it. Marketing is in full swing, reservations are open for the hotel, tickets are on sale, communication is ongoing, including interviews from leaders with no mention of a delay whatsoever.
Of course some of the attractions won't be ready (they already confirmed it) on opening day. But don't let the pictures fool you. They are working 24/7. Even if some work will probably continue a few months afterwards, the resort will be opened on time. Will it be perfect in every way though at that time ? Surely not.
Let's move on.
For your information, these pics recently posted are old.
There's absolutely no way this will be open in time. Structures aren't even completed. they need at least two-three more months.
Judging from the pictures, it's absolutely impossible to have the three parks open by end of next month.
Source: BlooloopLooking ahead and given demand and growth projections of the leisure and entertainment sector in the Middle East, work is now under for a second phase development of the theme park destination to not only cater to the regional but also a global market.
“We are at the end of schematic design and have broken ground on the construction of Six Flags Dubai,” Priddy said. A Six Flags themed park has been announced for phase two and is scheduled to open in late 2019. Dubai Parks and Resorts is tracking its project well and keeping a close eye on inauguration.
“Our project looks like a city that is fast coming up and some of the iconic structures can be seen from the Shaikh Zayed Road. What I like most about building a theme park is seeing the amazement of park guests when they see attractions that they’ve never experienced before for the first time,” Priddy said.
I see some paving going down. It will be a race. Lots of windows etc still to install. Maybe a bigger race
The Zombieland ride has now been topped off
