Guys chill , One of my friends Dad is a part of the projects management stuff.

The Project is actually meant to be completed by 2016 not 2014. It is very much going ahead and construction will soon take place.

Just read the article:

Meraas' Dubai Adventure Studios fun park, plans for which were announced in December 2011, will anchor the new destination and is expected to be completed by 2014.

Here we've already got the first delay. Completion by 2014 is impossible.

That's just an EXPO billboard. Look at the petrol station below. Go there and you can see all the construction behind!

The new development – approved by His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and announced in a statement issued by Dubai Media Office – will offer multi-faceted leisure and entertainment facilities, catering to both residents and tourists. The theme parks will be based on movies, animals and fun characters aimed at appealing to all demographics.

They'll have three separate parks, Bollywood, Motion Gate and Legoland, plus resorts, restaurants, malls, golf and a lake. Opening will be end of 2015 but construction has NOT commenced yet.
