On October 10, 2024, a press conference of Dream Island was held, dedicated to the start of construction of a new open park. The company showed renderings and models of the future location for the first time.
After the opening of the open park location with an area of 200 thousand square meters, "Dream Island" will be able to enter the TOP-40 largest parks in the world. The location will include more than 20 attractions that have no world analogues, a city promenade consisting of an interactive green labyrinth of 2.5 thousand square meters, a children's playground of 2 thousand square meters and an embankment with access to the water area. In addition, a fairy-tale village of mascots - Dreamers will appear in the park.
The open park will feature the longest roller coaster in Russia at 1,058 meters. The vertical ascent speed on the attraction will be 41 km/h, and the maximum speed will be 110 km/h. The facility will be equipped with the most modern and fastest acceleration system in the world of attractions.
The hydrolift will simulate a rafting ride down rapids and will be the longest configuration of its kind in the world.
The new park will also feature the only rotating observation tower in Russia, which will be equipped with an intelligent control weighing system for the landing gondola to regulate the launch pressure.
In addition, the open-air park will feature a 631-meter-long monorail slide with a top speed of 70 km/h, the country's largest free-spinning slide with 392 meters of length and a top speed of 60 km/h. Another flagship attraction will be a pendulum with three axes of 360-degree rotation and a speed of 6 m/s.
“We set ourselves the goal of becoming trendsetters in the entertainment industry in Russia. Back in 2006, I conceived of creating an indoor amusement park where any fairy-tale universe could be fully reproduced using light and sound effects. My team and I were waiting for the opportunity to implement such a large-scale project. However, enthusiasm and desire alone are not enough to implement it; experience, financial stability and a willingness to overcome any difficulties are necessary. In four years, we have created the world's largest indoor theme park, which no one has managed to do before us," comments Amiran Mutsoev, Chairman of the Board of the holding company "Dream Island".
Experts noted that despite the potential of the entertainment industry, this sector is undervalued in Russia. At the same time, the potential of the global market, according to The Business Research Company for 2024, is estimated at 30 trillion dollars by 2027.
Today, Dream Island is the largest theme park in Russia and Europe, covering an area of about 100 hectares. Despite the difficulties of recent years, in 4 years the company has doubled the number of attractions and expanded the park's territory by 50%. Now the location features 16 entertainment facilities, 47 attractions, a Dream Game Center of 17 thousand square meters, a concert hall with a capacity of 4,500 people, a summer open-air cinema with 168 seats, the largest beach club of the urban type in the country, Dream Beach Club, covering 41 thousand square meters, and a landscape park with an area of 44 hectares.
The company is expanding opportunities for its visitors. Since autumn 2024, Dream Island has switched to a differentiated pricing system, offering guests tickets with a discount of up to 40% of the previous cost. This approach will allow the park to redistribute its load on different days and set prices based on current demand.
"Every third guest of the capital comes to Dream Island, which significantly increases the tourist flow to the park. In managing the entertainment cluster, we follow modern global trends. For example, many foreign offline entertainment market drivers take into account seasonal changes in ticket policy. Based on the activity, demand and prices in our park, we have introduced a differentiated pricing system to provide guests with a more comfortable and affordable stay. In the near future, by purchasing a single ticket, people will be able to visit both the new outdoor park and the indoor part of Dream Island with access to all attractions and shows. Regardless of the weather and seasonal conditions, visitors will be able to enjoy all types of entertainment," comments Boris Yuryevich Pishchik, General Director of Dream Island Park.
In the near future, the company intends to expand its influence and is already implementing a number of new projects, participating in the integrated development of the Nagatinskaya Poima territory: the Dream Towers residential complex, the Yuport business quarter, and a hotel complex. In addition, Dream Island focuses on developing its own unique content and animation universes, an entertainment IT ecosystem and marketplace, and also plans to launch new projects on the territory of the indoor park, for example, an interactive chocolate museum and a large entertainment museum of Russian history.
