New information and concept art has been revealed for the upcoming transformation of part of Disney's California Adventure

The Paradise Pier land of the park will be separated into two separate lands. The south side of Paradise Bay will become "Pixar Pier." The west and north sides of Paradise Bay will become "Paradise Park."

Pixar Pier will feature four "neighborhoods" themed to The Incredibles, Toy Story, Inside Out and and the fourth neighborhood includes characters from multiple Pixar movies.

Multiple attractions are closing temporarily starting January 8 as work begins on the transformation.

Bob Iger's words mark the end of the expansion:

"Today as we celebrate the reopening of Disney California Adventure, we mark a defining moment in the history of the Disneyland Resort. Cars Land and Buena Vista Street are the spectacular finale to our five-year transformation of this park, which now stands proudly on its own as a worthy neighbor to Disneyland."
