More details on two rides in Bollywood.

This fun-filled attraction is called ‘Lagaan: Thrill of Victory Ride’ and will be located at the Rustic Ravine zone of the Bollywood-themed Park in Dubai.
It is a rollercoaster-based motion simulator, which gives visitors the perspective of a moving cricket ball.
Guests can therefore join Bhuvan (played by Aamir Khan) and team in a cricket game against the British Raj, all over again.
But alongside Aamir, it seems Shahrukh Khan’s Don will also be a 3D ride called ‘Don: The Chase Ride’.
Talking about this action-packed attraction, King Khan says:
“This time the chase is in Dubai, on the very famous Sheikh Zayed Road and also other famous landmarks of Dubai.
“As the famous dialogue of the movie goes — ‘Don ko pakadana mushkil hi nahin, namumkin hai’ that means it’s not only difficult to catch Don, but impossible as well.”

  4. Here is the press release :

What is the source of this quote please? I'm interested to see it as this is the first I have heard of it and cannot find any information on the official website or press releases.

  6. I'm not sure they can't follow a plan, it's more that they were a bit too ambitious to begin with. They built this thing in what, two years?

  7. It will open on Oct 31, no doubt about it. Marketing is in full swing, reservations are open for the hotel, tickets are on sale, communication is ongoing, including interviews from leaders with no mention of a delay whatsoever.
Not really true. DPX has declared a delay for most parks already:

"Dubai Parks and Resorts, the region’s largest integrated theme park destination, announced today that it will now open on 31st October with LEGOLAND® Dubai and Riverland™ Dubai, the retail dining and entertainment district. I feel lucky that I haven't booked my flight yet or I would be really angry now. Such delay notice on such a short term. While I love what Dubai is trying to built up, I definitively cannot comprehend their lack of capabilities to plan on schedule (probably that's because I'm German and delays of this type is terrible to me).

Looking ahead and given demand and growth projections of the leisure and entertainment sector in the Middle East, work is now under for a second phase development of the theme park destination to not only cater to the regional but also a global market.

“We are at the end of schematic design and have broken ground on the construction of Six Flags Dubai,” Priddy said. A Six Flags themed park has been announced for phase two and is scheduled to open in late 2019. Dubai Parks and Resorts is tracking its project well and keeping a close eye on inauguration.

“Our project looks like a city that is fast coming up and some of the iconic structures can be seen from the Shaikh Zayed Road. What I like most about building a theme park is seeing the amazement of park guests when they see attractions that they’ve never experienced before for the first time,” Priddy said.
