The main resort tower for Atlantis Resort Sanya has officially topped-off as of July 20, 2016.

The top of the 226-meter-tall main building of the Atlantis Resort Sanya project, the third Atlantis resort in the world and the first one in China, was successfully installed on July 20th in Sanya’s Haitang Bay.

Seems like quite a way to go still for an October 2017 opening. I have noticed construction is going on around the clock at the moment.

Interesting - I wonder if they are including the dolphin tanks in with the number of gallons

I heard 47,000 tons of water for the aquarium which equates to 12.4 million gallons or 48,872,000 liters. So if this is correct it sounds like it will be the biggest. However, I don't know if they mean all of the exhibits will equal this number or if this is one single tank. Either way it is a lot!

Atlantis Resort Sanya will be opening in October 2017 and will feature:

five underwater suites, the world's largest natural seawater aquarium, natural seawater dolphin bay and 12 international restaurants with different themes

When it says "world's largest natural seawater aquarium" does that mean larger that Chimelong Ocean Kingdom's whale shark tank?
