Adlabs Entertainment Limited is constructing an INR16 billion ($293.38 million) theme park near Mumbai in the Indian state of Maharashtra.
The new project, known as Adlabs Imagica, is located on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. The project will be built on a 300-acre plot, which will have a theme park, hotels and a water park. The theme park, spread over 110 acres, will have about 21 international standard rides.
Adlabs Entertainment chairman Manmohan Shetty said that the total project cost is INR16 billion ($293.38 million), of which INR11 billion ($201.7 million) has already been invested in the theme park. Two-thirds of the total project cost has been funded through debt, while the remaining is equity, he added.
The theme park will be open to public by March 2013, while the hotel and water park are likely to become operational by the mid and end of 2013, respectively.
