  1. This is mislabeled at the source website. This piece of art was produced by the same team that was designing the Dubai park, but this is of a "generic" FOX theme park, specifically for the Chinese market. The artwork was commissioned by FOX for use in marketing in China, and was completed towards the end of the Dubai park's design effort.

Dubai never had the Die Hard Stunt Show (upper left) X-Files (center left), or The Martian (lower left sound stage) attractions. These were added to the Chinese masterplan at the direction of FOX management. Similarly, Springfield USA was a (relatively) late addition to the Dubai plans, and was always on the left side of the park (as seen in the Dubai Birdseye). Dubai never had the large "lake" in the center of the park, nor any water associated with its Titanic area, due to water conservation and cost issues in the Emirates.

While there were certainly evolutions of the Dubai masterplan, the park always appeared similar in layout from initial designs to what was eventually released in the public Birdseye.

We're all familiar with the bird's eye rendering of this theme park that was released back in 2015, but now I've found an alternate version that I assume is an earlier design:

For comparison here's the officially released 2015 version:

Never-before-seen concept art of a Rio attraction that was planned for the park:

I assume that it's a screen-based flying simulator. It makes me think of a ride system that Disney was developing but obviously they are not related:

Anyone can change a Wikipedia page, doesn't mean it is true.

20th Century Fox World will never be built with this theme, Disney will not allow this and the Genting Group is the proof of this. They literally were months away from opening their Fox World inspired park before the merger of Disney and Fox and Disney pulled the plug on their theme license.

As CarlySX said, this is dead and will not be coming back to the land of the living.

The reason it’s on hold though isn’t financial like most projects, but due to the state of the entire region’s theme park industry; if other parks in the UAE continue to become more successful, then maybe it will be built.

Though the affect on tourism by Covid might mean that the financial backing disappears also.

It's a dead park. It will never be built.

    Any update on this park?

  9. Concept art of "The Gateway" which was going to be a "restaurant, dining, and entertainment resort complex" next to the theme park:

In the highly anticipated 20th Century Fox Studios theme park, FSY Architects conceptualized the iconic entrance area. The entry gate complex welcomes guests to Century City, a glitzy metropolis filled with shops, restaurants and attractions. Century City represents a new urban setting combining the rich history of Fox motion pictures and television with original architecture reminiscent of those locales. At the end of the main boulevard, the historic Fox Theater beckons all to relive the greatest moments in Fox motion picture history.

Ambitious plans for a 20th Century Fox World theme park in Dubai are on hold due to concerns about oversupply, according to Mohammed Khammas, CEO of Al Ahli Group.

“We've realized that there’s now a serious supply of theme parks in Dubai,” Khammas told Arabian Business, in an exclusive interview.
