The largest (and fastest?) wooden roller coaster in China is the Viper, found in Wanda (Nanchang) Culture Tourism City. Here's an on-seat feel of the first test ride.

Sorry that last one should be Wanda Chengdu not Guilin.

Wanda Movie Park Wuhan has its own thread on here and is open and Wanda Changbaishan appears to be a ski resort rather than a theme park.

I got this info from a poorly translated article but to the Chinese-speaking folks out there, I'd like to think these are theme parks in the making.

As far as I can understand, this entertainment complex will be known as "Wanda Cultural Tourism City".

    1. "Wanda Mao" (Nanning)

An event last October 25, a "main cap ceremony" as described in the article where I got this pic from.

    Wanda Harbin-mao

Now, the next pics -- I'm not sure if these are still part of the complex or going to be built in separate places. Please enlighten me here....

  8. Seriously? Wanda in Australia? They haven't even built a world-class theme park in China yet.

Wanda Group is eyeing another theme park project, this time outside of China, on Australia's Gold Coast:

Wang Jianlin’s Chinese conglomerate, the Wanda Group, is negotiating with the State Government to obtain land at Coomera to build the multi-billion-dollar attraction.
Although this is still under negotiation, it may not be very far off.

The theme park costs $2.5B and took four years to build.
The park has five lands and 27 recreational facilities including a roller coaster that is 45 metres high and runs through a rain forest.
