Great new photos of the park:
In the first photo we can see the Transformers-themed roller coaster, The Universal Studios Grand Hotel in the back, plus some ride buildings
This photo shows the NUO Resort Hotel and I think the Minion/Despicable Me area
Lastly there's a lot going on in this photo - notice the transit station in the back, the Jurassic World-themed inverted coaster, the Jurassic World dark ride building, the indoor Kung Fu Panda area, and the Waterworld stadium on the front left
Also a few days ago Universal Beijing Resort released this quick video but it shows minimal: https://mp.weixin.qq.com/s/kEsMm08JisahUsGyuUu9RQ

Best photo yet of the upcoming Transformers-themed roller coaster by Bolliger & Mabillard being built at the park - with only about 20 months until the grand opening keep checking themeparX for updates because the construction photos are getting better and better.

Yesterday at an event in Beijing, Universal did a presentation that unfortunately just repeated what we already know about the project, reaffirming (https://www.themeparx.com/universal-studios-beijing/?p=14064#post14064) that construction will be completed around October 2020 and then the grand opening will be in Spring 2021. The only thing that is slightly new is the Universal-branded hotel at the entrance has been officially named "The Universal Studios Grand Hotel" (环球影城大酒店). Because Universal didn't release any new construction photos or concept art, posts on social media and news articles about the event mainly used construction photos from themeparX, stock photos of the existing Universal theme parks, previously leaked concept art, and the official but outdated overview concept art. Despite the lack of new images from Universal we have some recent images for you:
First is some onsite work taking place on rockwork for the Kung Fu Panda area. It seems that the work is being done outside before being moved to and assembled in the indoor Kung Fu Panda area
Next is the usual photos of the park from a few days ago
Here's a couple photos from the event

Brand new photos this time from the south side of the construction site - the large building covered by blue scrim is the Universal-branded hotel at the entrance to the theme park, the building covered by the light green scrim is the NUO Resort Hotel and wavy structure towards the front of a lot of these photos is the transit station:
