Universal Orlando has filed site development plans with Orange County that give the public its first look at the southern expansion of the Universal Orlando Resort.

The plans describes the site as 541.5 acres, including 5,089 provided parking spaces. The site's maximum allowed building height is 400 feet. There are 135.38 acres of open space required for the project, and the planned development will include 100.72 acres of asphalt area and 1.4 acres of sidewalks. Here is a look at the completed Fast and Furious ride building and queue line. The building really fits its surrounds (San Francisco waterfront) very well. The queue line moves through a warehouse setting before entering the pre-shows. The story for the ride is that guest are on a party bus that is being chased while it travels to the final party location. The ride itself has received some mixed review but my family really enjoys the ride and most park guests seem to being have fun on the ride. I think that probably sums up the ride, its fun. Its not Universal's best ride, but its definitely not the worst ride.

  5. Universal Orlando Resort is currently going through a major expansion process. This expansion includes 2 large new resort hotels, changes to Citywalk and the new for 2019 Harry Potter coaster.

There is a rumour circulating about a 4th park for Universal Orlando and it looks like Nintendo building might be being held off in Universal Studios whilst this new park is considered.

To recap, the Super Nintendo World construction was going to include the Mushroom Kingdom as a central hub with a recreation of Princess Peachís Castle, a Mario Kart AR attraction, a Yoshi unimover experience, various dining spots and shops and a Donkey Kong Tropical Island themed space complete with a Donkey Kong indoor-outdoor coaster.

There has been no activity since the permits were filed. This is unusual and likely indicative that the plan for Super Nintendo World at Universal Orlando Resort has changed. Credit where credit is due, the folks over at Theme Park University were the first to pick up on this, as well as publicly state that the Nintendo plans that leaked that included Kirby and The Legend of Zelda were outdated by the time they had been uncovered. Thatís right, the permits filed in May, June and July of 2017 did not include Zelda or Kirby.
So whatís the plan for Super Nintendo World at Universal Orlando? Itís still being developed, but the intent is rumored to be to transition Super Nintendo World over to Universal Orlandoís rumored third theme park (or fourth, if you include Volcano Bay). A source has disclosed that the Mushroom Kingdom will still serve as the central hub for this third park.
