The new Toy Story area under construction at the park, where you can really make out the RC Racer half-pipe ride, as seen in daytime and nighttime.

  3. Thank you! I've been on that DCA ride, which is a very mild ride for kids. I guess Shanghai Toy Story land doesn't seem very exciting then...

  4. Woody’s Round-Up is reskin of Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree at DCA. The main car is set to look like Bullseye.

Also, if I’m not mistaken, Rex’s Racer (the Shanghai name for RC Racer) is the same size as HK’s.

Does anyone know if this RC Racer is the same size as the Hong Kong one? Some people are saying it looks bigger and taller than the HK one...

Some news source says it will open in April 2018.

I am very curious about the Shanghai unique attraction "Woody's Roundup".

  7. Any idea when toy story land will open? Is it on March 2018, right after Chinese new year?

  8. They started testing RC racer

  9. To be fair, this was planned for Shanghai to be an opening day land and it includes a unique-to-Shanghai attraction, albeit a clone of Tow Mater's Junkyard Jamboree. It could have been given the same as both DLP and HKDL, but at least it's getting a bit of unique flair.

  10. I find it unbelievable they are going the cheap route with the Slinky Dog ride in Florida, plus Toy Story Mania.

Why the low-cost approach to the Shanghai park? They already have the low rent version in Hong Hong. Which is another reason the Shanghai version seems odd. Disney went out of their way to make sure the two Chinese parks have different attractions and then they add another Toy Story Land.
