Lost Island Waterpark in Iowa, USA is adding a theme park to its estate.

With a significant budget of $ 100 million, Lost Island Themepark will be partly funded by the state and the city. Work began in September 2019.

The new park is expected to span 200 acres, 30 of which will be divided into 5 thematic zones. It will include various attractions, created to offer an immersion in the magical country stories that can only be found on Lost Island .

After almost six years of preparation, construction of the park-integrated themed hotel will now start. The hotel is phase one of the Liseberg’s expansion project, celebrating the park’s centennial in 2023. Phase two will be a fully integrated indoor waterpark.
Liseberg Grand Curiosa Hotel will be highly themed and fully focused on families with children, and with slides between the floors and a fully integrated wooden carousel from 1923 in the main restaurant, the intent is to create a fully immersive experience. The conceptual platform for the hotel has taken its inspiration from the history of Gothenburg and the East India Trading Company, in combination with Liseberg’s own unique DNA.

The total investment for the hotel project is SEK 1,179m. Phase 2 of the project – the indoor water park – will start construction in 2020.

Chessington World of Adventures Resort have submitted plans to install a new Egyptian themed drop tower ride to replace Rameses Revenge, along with the relocation of Flying Jumbos.

Proposed to be located in the Forbidden Kingdom area of the theme park, the new drop tower will be a direct replacement for Rameses Revenge. Standing at an overall height of 25.6m, the base of the tower will be set in the existing hollow alongside the ride’s operator cabin and plant and mechanical rooms. Guests will be carried to the top of the ride on board a 16 seat gondola, before released to ‘free-fall’ down the tower. Although it is not stated within the application who the manufacturer of the ride is, plans do confirm that there are no comparable attractions at Merlin parks in the UK, ruling out the possibility that it could be a transfer of an existing attraction.

A Star Wars vacation experience unlike anything Disney has ever created before will fully immerse guests in a galaxy far, far away when Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser debuts at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Exciting new details were shared Sunday live from D23 Expo 2019 by Bob Chapek, chairman of Walt Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, and Ann Morrow Johnson, executive producer and creative director for Walt Disney Imagineering.

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser will offer a two-night itinerary where all guests arrive and depart together, similar to Disney Cruise Line. Unlike any typical cruise, though, you can become the heroes of your own Star Wars story in a new type of immersive experience that only Disney could create.

Every window in the Halcyon – including those in each cabin – has a view of the galaxy beyond, with ever-changing vistas as the ship progresses from place to place.

Elysium Waterpark is planned to be the largest water-park in the UK, costing £75m and estimating 1 million visitors per year.

Not just a waterpark, Elysium will be the most extraordinary, luxurious and largest indoor waterpark in the United Kingdom. Standing alongside other stunning world-class venues across the world, Elysium will look to deliver the ultimate water park paradise and more.

Featuring a top quality wellness and beauty spa that offers a multitude of facilities including a sauna, hammam spas, massage and beauty treatments, exercise/ dance options; we hope Elysium will be a place of tranquility, peace and freedom.

The Elysium Water Park is expected to open in 2023, but we've already had a sneak peek thanks to a series of artists' impressions the project's team have released.

There's plenty of space too, as the water park boasts 75 acres of space, with a handy location near Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.

After a lot of digging around I found that the Snow Park (it's name is actually Snow Village) is not yet fully opened but expects to be by the end of the year, the smaller parts of the park are open and I found they have an Instagram page. For a tourist attraction they sure were hard to find details on!

From what I can see online the parts that are open are the tube slide with the large airbag at the bottom, the small children's snow play area and the cafe (which has the ski lifts in) There does not seem to be anything else open.

    Prices
