The 'Masters of the Sea indoor water park' is now open at Kingdom of Poseidon!

Two dolphins have arrived and are starting to get acclimated and will eventually be swimming with guests as part of an interaction program.

Pandora: The World of Avatar is now officially open! Unsurprisingly, the crowds are massive with lines for the rides reaching over 4 hours so far.

Despite Volcano Bay having had its official grand opening, the park is still incomplete with work still being done on some of the private cabanas, Kopiko Wai Winding River (the calmer lazy river) has yet to open and for a large portion of opening day rides including Krakatau Aqua Coaster were shut down. Construction work is still visiabible throughout the park with some areas closed off. In addition, some park-wide issues on opening day included bugs with the TapuTapu wearable band, the offsite parking, and the longer than hoped for ride lines despite the timed queues. All of this was at least somewhat expected considering the seemingly "premature" opening of the waterpark.

    Update:

GOSHEN, N.Y. (May 15, 2017) – LEGOLAND® New York officials expressed gratitude following the Town of Goshen’s board meeting on May 15, where the board approved the enhanced Community Host Benefit Agreement in a 4-1 vote.

“We want to express our deepest thanks to the members of the board who voted to approve this Community Host Benefit Agreement,” said Phil Royle, LEGOLAND New York’s head of project & community relations. “We are humbled and appreciative of the board’s recognition of our commitment to bring tremendous financial benefits to Goshen and greater Orange County. We are equally committed to being a very positive and active neighbor in the community. We look forward to the next steps in this transparent review process, which is to discuss the FEIS.”
The Host Community Benefit Agreement will take effect if the Town Board votes to pass a local law modifying the zoning to allow the LEGOLAND project.

An expansion is already in the works:

Universal shows no signs of slowing down. There is already a 5-acre Volcano Bay expansion in the works.
"We have a pretty darn good idea of what we'll do," says [Dale] Mason. "It could happen quicker than we think: it could start in three weeks."

At least for right now, it's just being made into an expanded parking lot:

A closer examination of the plans shows a parking lot expansion to the South and East of the current Cast Member parking lot. This expansion covers roughly 35 acres.

Wild Wadi Waterpark will be relocated to the entertainment-focused island to support visitor numbers to the new resort, which will be managed by Jumeirah Group.
Dubai Holding will also develop a Marine Park – a marine life edutainment centre – that will include a theatre with a capacity of 1,000 people. Visitors will be able to interact with exotic aquatic animals and fish at the park. The expanded Wild Wadi and Marine Park will together cover 2.5 million square feet.

Construction on the Six Flags theme park is progressing per plan and it is expected that DXB Entertainment will start drawing down on the available finance facility for the project towards the end of this year. At the end of the quarter seven ride agreements had been signed, and close to 90 per cent of the design works completed.
