There are two stories here but I think combined they are significant. It would seem the city is happy with the infrastructure works but doesn't care much for LEGOLAND actually being built. They seem to believe the park will fail to be built.

The Mayor of Chuncheon, Choi Dony-Yong said, "Gangwon-do requested the participation of Chuncheon in the Legoland project but they rejected it," he said at a meeting of the Happy City Chuncheon Creation Committee held on October 29th. The city is in a position to take off when the construction of roads for the city is over at the end of the year.
Choi said, "If the current method is used, the LEGOLAND business is judged to be ineffective for Chuncheon," he said. "Even if it is completed, Chuncheon should be completed after all the projects that can attract visitors are completed".

It is expected that the Lego Land theme park project will be ineffective due to the completion of the Lego Land theme park business.
On the other hand, Chuncheon City, which does not have direct responsibility for the Legoland business, is relaxed. Whether it is a business or not, it seems like Chuncheon has nothing to lose. The city has already confirmed the route of the urban planning road which is linked to the road via the load diagram. Even if the Legoland project is stopped, there is no problem with the function of the bridge included in the urban planning road.

It is being reported that there are even more expansion plans for Tokyo Disney Resort on top of the current ones that we know about.

Kyodo News is reporting that the Oriental Land Company, the operator of Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, is planning to spend roughly 300 billion yen ($2.7 billion) to expand the two existing theme parks, sources with knowledge of the matter said Wednesday. The company plans to start constructing the new areas that will expand the existing parks by 30% by 2025, one of the sources said.
To free up space, a parking lot adjacent to the parks within the sprawling Tokyo Disney Resort complex in Urayasu just outside of the capital will be turned into a multistory garage. The company is also looking to acquire additional land for these projects.

After listening to the reports on the progress of construction and operational preparation of the management team, the leaders of Shanghai Project proposed that the group and all project departments actively cooperate with each other to support the progress of the project, as it is now a race against time and requires huge effort to be reading for a 2018 summer trial phase

Looking at the current structures we could see animals coming in over the next couple of months.

There are currently no orcas living at Shanghai Haichang Polar Ocean World. They are temporarily being held at Dalian Laohutan Ocean Park until the stadium can be completed. It is estimated that they will move to the park between December 2017 to March 2018. As of now, Shanghai is planning on housing four Russian orcas.

The translation isn't great and the legal bits are confusing but essentially there are ongoing trials to deal with fraud and embezzlement as part of the loans secured to build LEGOLAND Korea. Does anyone know if this will impact the site?

At the trial, some of the commission fees of W5.6bn, which occurred in December 2014 when ELL Development, a developer of Lego Land business, concluded a project financing (PF) loan agreement with Korea Investment Securities for business financing

Volcano Bay Expansion area is seeing some movement...

Interesting to see waterslide sections in storage in the Volcano Bay expansion site.
2nd photo is Nov 4, and some of the site trailers have been disassembled since then.

This week, Walt Disney World filed permits for the Tron coaster with the state of Florida, revealing how the new attraction will fit into Tomorrowland in the Magic Kingdom.

Walt Disney World’s Tron coaster will be modeled after Tron Lightcycle Power Run at Shanghai Disneyland. The coaster-style attraction invites guests to board a train of two-wheeled Lightcycles for a ride through Tron’s high-tech universe.

The Tron coaster (labeled MK2 on the map below) is being built on land adjacent to Space Mountain.

Another local group have been defeated as they try and stop the themepark being built.

A judge has rejected a petition calling for a public referendum on the town of Goshen selling land to Merlin Entertainments Group for the creation of a Legoland theme park.
Legoland New York spokesman Phil Royle declined to comment on Brand’s ruling but issued a statement that read: “The sale of the lots will provide income to the town of Goshen, will be added to the tax rolls, and Legoland New York will donate two wells that the town of Goshen could use to address water concerns in the Arcadia Hills community.”

It looks like the issues surrounding the excavation of this site won't go away.

"The Cultural Heritage Administration of the Park Geun-hye government has tried to look at the convenience of Chuncheon LEGOLAND, not to preserve the prefectural sites," the representatives of the National Assembly said in a press conference.
They said, "If the site is found in the construction site, the construction will be stopped and the site will be determined by the subcommittee of the store." However, the Cultural Heritage Administration did not stop the excavation of Chuncheon LEGOLAND, "We have allowed the excavation (excavation to remove artifacts and dismantle tombs in order to save relics and relics before development)."

Universal bought more expansion land but haven't said anything about what they are going to do with it yet. Just interesting to keep an eye on.

Universal Orlando now has even more room to grow, because the resort recently bought another 101 acres of land adjacent to the 475 acres of expansion property it already owns.

As first reported by the Orlando Business Journal, Universal Orlando has completed the purchase of 101 acres along Sand Lake Road for $27.5 million. The new parcel connects to the land near the Orange County Convention Center that Universal bought in 2015, bringing their total expansion plot up to 576 acres — larger than all the current theme parks at Universal Orlando Resort.

But the biggest project in the expansion is a new Beauty and the Beast-themed mini-land for the park's Fantasyland. This area will feature a new trackless dark ride themed to the 1991 animated classic.

The new attractions are scheduled to open in the spring of 2020, just in time for the Summer Olympics that will come to Tokyo that July.

LEGO are expanding the Billund park to include a new castle themed hotel.

The new castle-themed hotel, named Slotshotel, will feature 142 themed rooms, 900 LEGO models and a conference center. This new project will reportedly cost 200 million Danish kroner, or roughly $32 million.
