Current state of a hydraulic telescoping crane with extension. It will likely place the highest track of the unannounced Jurassic Park roller coaster.

Dutch chocolate company Tony’s Chocolonely has joined forces with architecture firm SeARCH to create a unique choccy-themed attraction.
It’s estimated the ‘chocolate circus’ will take three years to build and will cost an eye-watering $105 million (£84.5 million) in total. While a precise date for the opening hasn’t been revealed, it’s unlikely guests will be able to step inside the attraction before 2024.

This video was posted on June 4th but I think it's from the early opening. It shows a lot of the mall area and a walk through of the whole park. I also don't remember seeing the actual park entrance full castle facade before within the mall so thought it was interesting.

Looks like Moscow may be lifting its lockdown restrictions soon.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, a staunch Putin loyalist, all but declared victory over COVID-19 on the city's news channel Monday. Moscow's lockdown rules will gradually be lifted over the coming two weeks, he said.

The news story about a "UK Disneyland" is doing the rounds again with the British newspapers. Think this got started with the most recent news about further planning applications but it's all over news sites and social media again.

I know people say there's no such thing as bad news but you would think someone at The London Resort would try to manage these. They don't accurately portray the project at all.

Same story as previously with headline using the Disney brand and the same old concept art. Here's a selection of the sites hosting this "news"...

One of the designers behind the Zootopia City Crest shown in the construction photos has shared some of the inspiration for the design on Twitter, I found it really interesting. There's a whole thread but I've pulled out some of the comments below.

The pawprint and hoofprint are that of Thule elk, a California species, and the critically endangered Amur tiger, a Chinese species. While it was important for me to represent diverse and endangered animals, there is significance in the specific species chosen. The inclusion of these two animals also represent the working relationship between our Shanghai Imagineering team and those of us working from California
The tree at the center of the watering hole represents a communal gathering for mammals from all walks of life in Zootopia. This, of course, also parallels nature. Our Disney Parks are also gathering places for people from all over the world to experience happiness together

This video shows French Google maps has potential new names added for the Avengers Campus Rides at Disneyland Paris. I can't see them on UK Google so it would be good if one of the French readers could verify?

Wikipedia has name changed to reflect new information. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stark%27s_Test_I.A_Coaster

I have also just noticed that under the 'News' section there used to be a lot of "project documentation" but that area is now clear of any documents at all. Does anyone know when they were removed or does anyone remember what specifically was there that might now be irrelevant?

Some more details for this new consultation.

Today, The London Resort announced it has taken four significant steps in its preparation to submit proposals later this year. Despite the massive disruption caused by COVID-19, The Resort’s expert team has maintained strong progress on its work and confirmed:

    1. Proposals for a ‘late-summer / early autumn’ public consultation including online and ‘virtual’ engagement

    2. Confirmed submission of a 300-page Environmental Scoping report by 12th June

    3. Contacted advisors of affected local businesses, setting out terms for the acquisition of land including an additional premium

    4. Written to the Community Liaison Group to help share information about the project
“The team have been immense, working incredibly hard during these awful times. I joined just under a year ago and we are always being asked to hurry up. Well, I am happy to tell you we have made strong progress and these reports are hugely important. This is a significant step in transforming an amazing and ambitious dream into reality.

“We obviously can’t hold a public consultation in the normal way – but we will make sure we reach out to local residents and businesses as well as the wider community and stakeholders. We are talking to Government about how we will be using digital technology, websites, video conferences and online Question and Answer Sessions.”

This article is from 2019 so may be outdated but it lists 7 theme parks due to begin work in Kunming - none of them are Paramount. Do we think the Paramount IP has been added to one of these or is this another park for the area?

    The ones listed are:

The BRC Joy City will be centred on the theme of ‘Fruit Man.’ The first phase of this park has been completed but is not yet open to the public.

Kunming’s Fantawild Theme Park is located in Dongcheng District of Yiliang County and comprises of two theme parks – the ‘Fantawild Oriental Divine Paintings’, which is focused on the heritage of Chinese historical civilization and the ‘Road to Revival’ park, based on the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

The total area of the Fantawild Theme Park project is approximately 319 acres. The park has an investment of 6 billion yuan and the construction period is expected to be two years.

The Sunac Kunming Cultural Tourism City covers a total area of around 560 acres. The cultural tourism city will include a snow-amusement park, an ocean paradise and a flying theatre.

The Moby Whale Fantasy World will cost around 20 billion yuan to construct. The park’s first phase covers an area of ?? 180 acres, which will include five major attractions – an elf-themed Adventure Island, Blizzard Beach, Canary Bay, Mermaid Tribe and Happy Reclamation.

The first phase of Moby Whale Fantasy World is planned to be completed before China’s National Day in 2020.

The Kunming Seven Worlds cultural tourism project extends across ??1052.17 acres, comprising of several unique attractions, including a Wild World, Fantasy World, Carnival World, Water World, Joy World and more.
