There is no specific date change for opening as yet but it's been announced that construction has been delayed by at least 1 year due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

“We remain very confident that the parks business will generate healthy returns over the long term,” said Brian Roberts, chairman and CEO of Universal’s parent company, Comcast, on its first quarter earnings call Thursday. “Nonetheless, we’ve decided to pause construction of Orlando’s fourth gate, Epic Universe, at this early stage.”
The project was confirmed last year and scheduled for a 2023 opening. While Roberts didn’t mention a specific delay, Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings said construction on Epic Universe “is going to be delayed by a year,” though it’s not clear if that means the opening date will need to be pushed back.

Edit: It looks like the photos in this post were from another site, LEGOLAND Japan, but were marked as LEGOLAND New York images on the article so have been removed.

    Original Message:

Found these images and the captions say "artists impression" but it looks like an actual photo to me.

Given that the site was meant to open in July 2020 I would think we would have seen a lot more from construction by now. I am not sure the site would have been ready for July even without Coronavirus without some serious work in the last months. I am not seeing the amount of work I would expect for the last 6 months of a park getting ready to open.

Anyone else find any photos that make the park look anything like ready?

According to this interview with Jora Vision from April 2020 the park is still being worked on but no news on construction that I can find.

Another example is the development of the ride concept called ‘The curse of Blackstorm Bay’. In this case Jora Vision had the idea to work on the concept of the immersive tunnel and approached Simworx as partner to develop a next generation immersive tunnel. Simeon explains that this ride is rather different from existing immersive tunnels. “We wanted to have an immersive tunnel in pirate theme, with vehicles shaped like a ship rather than a truck. And we wanted a real scene in the loading station. When you board the vehicle, you see a scene on your left with projections which creates more depth. After the scene, the gates open and you enter the tunnel where the ship is actually surrounded by a water basin. And when you return to the station, there is also a final scene where characters from the ride show up once again.”

“For this ride we also had a generic pirate theme when we presented the ride concept,” Simeon says. “When the concept was sold to a customer in Mexico, he wanted a more specific storyline which was based upon the local pirate’s tales. We used the existing fortress in the Mexican town of Bacalar as inspiration for developing a storyline for the entire ride.” The ride is completely designed and was sold to the Amikoo Theme Park, which is still in development.

Shinsegae Property Consortium has been picked as a preferred bidder to operate a theme park complex on 3.15 square kilometers of land in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, the company said Thursday.
The construction for Hwaseong International Theme Park has been stalled twice since 2007. In 2016, the landowner K-Water failed to sign a contract with a consortium to build a Korean version of Universal Studios due to lack of funds.

The latest consortium consists of Shinsegae Property, which operates Starfield, and Shinsegae Construction. It will put 4.57 trillion won ($4 billion) to construct a tourism complex which includes a theme park, leisure and commercial facilities including a hotel, shopping mall and golf course.

The company said it plans to break ground in 2021 to open theme park facilities in 2026 and complete the construction by 2031.

According to the group, the complex will have an unprecedented concept, themed on K-pop and regional features such as the Shihwa Lake and dinosaur fossil site.

Xuzhou Amusement Land is part of the overall Xuzhou Paradise Resort in China which was due to open in March 2020 but is delayed.

An update from Xuzhou Paradise where test openings have begun. The park features a custom mine train along with an SLC and spinning coaster from Golden Horse. The star of the show though will be the Mack built Blue Fire clone.

@wesh2 flew over the parks today for a LIVE view of what was going. Here are a few screenshots from the video.

Check out all of the new vertical construction for the Jurassic rollercoaster project! Looks like the pieces we saw before are up! We expect to see a lot more progress on the site over the next few weeks and hopefully WESH2 will be able to showcase again!

Recently, Chen Dong, Party Secretary and Director of the Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau, went to our district to investigate the construction of major cultural tourism projects . District Party Secretary Chen Qing participated in the event.

Chen Dong successively went to Beijing Jinyu Prospect Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. and Qinglonghu Forest Park to inspect the land use and location status of the Lego Theme Park project on site, and listened to our region ’s special tourism development plan, Qinglonghu Town comprehensive implementation plan and Lego theme park project related situation report.

In addition to the construction of Legoland, Qinglong Lake District has also built a series of high-end business, leisure and living facilities: the five-star Oriental MGM International Hotel has been built and put into use, the Merlin Entertainment Group, Australia Weixiu, France PVCP , New Zealand Vita Studios, Holland Life Apartments and other international industry giants have joined in

Google Earth doesn't show any work on the site as far as I can see. Some construction work around the site has been ongoing since around late 2018 but I don't believe that's linked to LEGOLAND.

View from March 2019 as it's a clearer image.

View from September 2019, less clear but not many changes.

This is the site on Google Earth as of 16th May 2019, if you go back through the history of the site the only construction is the apartment blocks in the left hand corner of the site. Everything else is the same as it was in 2018 and even further back than that there are not many changes to that site at all.

    Two options:

    1. That site was never the right site anyway. We don't have any other potential site ever mentioned in concept art or press releases so this seems unlikely. There did seem to be some movement at times but nothing ever came of them so it seems unlikely they are building somewhere else and we have missed it.

    2. This project never got off the ground. This is much more likely.

Would be interested to see if anyone has any other information on what became of this project but I think it's completely forgotten.

The most up to date mention on the theme parks I can find is from April 2019. Does anyone know if these are still going ahead or if they are now being removed from the projects?

The total investment in Lagoona District, the latest integrated leisure and entertainment component of King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC), is expected to reach SAR 18.5 billion ($5 billion), a senior company executive told Argaam.

The 8-million square metre district will have 18 attractions, including two theme parks, a motor park and over 2,100 hotel rooms.

Lagoona Motorpark, a component of the first phase of the district, will open in September this year, Mohammed S Ballout, senior director and head of Leisure and Retail Operations, KAEC, said in an interview on the sidelines of the "Theme parks and Entertainment Development Forum Middle East" in Dubai on Tuesday.
This is the motorpark which was meant to open in September 2019 but I can't find that this opened either.
