These images are from December 2016 but they give the best images I have seen so far of the site on a big scale. It looks more impressive than I was expecting but about as complete as I could hope....
Great drone video over the whole resort which gives a good feel for how it will sit in the area.
Still destruction rather than construction but there's clearly something happening on that land. You can see that the land is very brown over the grass areas and looks very different to the well-kept areas around it.
The F1 themepark looks like it's back on in Dubai. The planned park was previously stopped due to a feasibility study showing the park was not a good investment during the financial crisis.
Dubai-based Union Properties has finalized plans to build a $163.35-M mixed-use project in Motor City, which includes a theme park, the company’s chairman, Khalid Bin Kalban, told local business website, Arabian Business.Source: http://www.livetradingnews.com/f1-theme-park-back-grid-dubai-34251.html#.WNgN2fnyvIU“The land was allotted to a theme park development, but a feasibility study said the cost would overrun to as much as $544.49-M. We have now redesigned the land usage plan, with 50% of the land allotted to a theme park and the remaining 50% to a mixed-use development,” he said.
Source: http://www.ecns.cn/business/2017/03-14/249204.shtmlThe Beijing park, located in eastern Tongzhou district, will exceed its Orlando peer in scale and content richness, and will be the largest-ever Universal theme park, according to Duan.
The first phase will cover an area of 1.59 square kilometers, upon which two hotels of 1,200 to 1,400 rooms will be built, said Duan. Apart from that, a Universal CityWalk entertainment zone will also be constructed.
One hotel will be Universal-branded while the other will carry the NUO brand, according to Wang Xin, general manager of Beijing Hotel Nuo Company Limited.
Duan added that the whole project, including phase one and two and even phase three extension, will cover a total area of four square kilometers and need a total investment of 100 billion yuan ($14.46 billion).
I went to Disneyland today and took a look at the construction from the parking structure.
Those AT-AT structures are really obvious and are clearly a frame inside the building itself (which is hard to tell from the images as they sometimes look external to the building). They also seem to be connected to the very deep basement level which matches the description of the multi-level ride mechanism that has been discussed before.
I think the round structure that has gone up recently may be the base/enclosure for the Millenium Falcon ride due to its size and shape. Seeing people stood inside it made it more obvious as to how big it actually is.
Rockwork also looks like it's starting to blend in with the existing rockwork in the area towards Rivers of America.
Another video with further views of the park being shown.

So I visited the site yesterday and whilst construction hasn't started there are fences up because they are pulling down the wedding chapel that currently stands on the site.
Cranes are already at work removing this structure and land is being left unkempt in the area where construction is due to begin soon. This is going to be right next to Disney's Aulani with views over the Honu lagoon next to Disney's which it will share with time share apartments and villas to its south side.
This is the location close up marked in red is the land shown on the other photos including the current buildings.
The wedding chapel barried off from the lagoon side
Cranes on site and a gate left open.
The extent of the land that is being left ready for construction with Disney Aulani in the background. It's a big plot.
The grass here is in bad condition compared to the extremely well groomed areas nearby which makes me think it won't be long until they have work starting.

The project is expected to be launched within three years and finished by 2022.
“The outdoor amusement theme park covering several hectares will promise a very fun experience,” said Yang Shengjun, channel marketing director of Merlin Entertainments China. It will be Lego’s first outdoor park in China.

Previews were done a few weeks ago for some customers to see the entrance and store.
A few recent views of Volcano Bay. The fence on one side seems to have been damaged and it was opened up to the road whilst repairs were made.
Side view of the Volcano Bay entrance, now with fabric roof.
Work on an elevator to/from the Volcano Bay parking shuttle tunnel.
Tropical landscaping arriving quickly now in Volcano Bay
Part of the Volcano Bay fence is down along Turkey Lake Rd. Seems like a repair in progress.
Some more aerials from 23rd February and on the site there are some good side by side comparisons of what has been built recently.
a closeup of what should be the site for the “Battle with the First Order” attraction.
Toy Story Construction looks a lot further along though....
The whole areaIn the north-west corner is the large building that will contain all the “back-of-house” needs for the Slinky Dog Dash rollercoaster. What will be the load station is just to the right of it in the picture. To the south is the ride mechanism for Little Green Men Swirling Saucers. We can make out the interlocking tables that will take the saucers on a double figure eight pattern on one of two separate systems, just like Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree at Disney California Adventure.
If this is really the ride vehicle then this ride is going to be totally different to anything I have seen before.
New video from 20th showing some smaller detail.
The construction site is seeing some big storms right now so glad they are still managing to get through the workload.
There are 3 cranes now visible from inside the park working on Star Wars / Toy story and things do seem to be starting to ramp up. They will have to go full steam ahead to hit that deadline.
