Another local group have been defeated as they try and stop the themepark being built.

A judge has rejected a petition calling for a public referendum on the town of Goshen selling land to Merlin Entertainments Group for the creation of a Legoland theme park.
Legoland New York spokesman Phil Royle declined to comment on Brand’s ruling but issued a statement that read: “The sale of the lots will provide income to the town of Goshen, will be added to the tax rolls, and Legoland New York will donate two wells that the town of Goshen could use to address water concerns in the Arcadia Hills community.”

It looks like the issues surrounding the excavation of this site won't go away.

"The Cultural Heritage Administration of the Park Geun-hye government has tried to look at the convenience of Chuncheon LEGOLAND, not to preserve the prefectural sites," the representatives of the National Assembly said in a press conference.
They said, "If the site is found in the construction site, the construction will be stopped and the site will be determined by the subcommittee of the store." However, the Cultural Heritage Administration did not stop the excavation of Chuncheon LEGOLAND, "We have allowed the excavation (excavation to remove artifacts and dismantle tombs in order to save relics and relics before development)."

Universal bought more expansion land but haven't said anything about what they are going to do with it yet. Just interesting to keep an eye on.

Universal Orlando now has even more room to grow, because the resort recently bought another 101 acres of land adjacent to the 475 acres of expansion property it already owns.

As first reported by the Orlando Business Journal, Universal Orlando has completed the purchase of 101 acres along Sand Lake Road for $27.5 million. The new parcel connects to the land near the Orange County Convention Center that Universal bought in 2015, bringing their total expansion plot up to 576 acres — larger than all the current theme parks at Universal Orlando Resort.

But the biggest project in the expansion is a new Beauty and the Beast-themed mini-land for the park's Fantasyland. This area will feature a new trackless dark ride themed to the 1991 animated classic.

The new attractions are scheduled to open in the spring of 2020, just in time for the Summer Olympics that will come to Tokyo that July.

Good News for LEGOLAND New York

A planning board in Goshen, about 60 miles north of New York City, approved a site plan Thursday to build a $500 million theme park based on the construction toy, which would open in 2019.
Town officials are seeking to block the referendum, which would be held in December if their efforts fail. They’ve said a referendum wouldn’t stop the project, just modify it slightly, the Times Herald-Record reported.

The new logo has been presented at meetings to potential investors and planning committees.

Bosses have also said new supporters for rides at the theme park will be revealed before the end of the year.
Developers claimed it was part of a new strategy for a broader mix of intellectual property for its rides and attractions, rather than having one studio name above the door. The plans have since suffered a further setback after its opening date was put back for a fourth time.
People are just not convinced by this project and unless they get a big name backer soon this project will be dead.

Promoted by the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC), the Bollywood theme park, which will come up in Karjat, is expected to be thrown open to the public on December 24 and tourists will even be able to witness shooting of films or television serials, apart from visiting other attractions currently under construction.
“The theme park will resemble the Warner Brothers or Universal Studios and for the first time in the country, people will be able to get a first-hand experience of film shooting. We will plan all kinds of activities that people can participate in and we will also celebrate all the traditional festivals with a Bollywood theme. We are going away from our roots and these activities can bring us back together,” said Desai.
Rathod added that viewing galleries will be constructed around the shooting sets and tourists can be accommodated there. “The tourists can watch the shooting live without interrupting it. Bollywood is a big part of the city and the ND Studios will be designated as a tourist attraction,” he said.

Work is ongoing behind the scenes in the park, It is normally one of the last pieces of the jigsaw during project planning so this is good news.

The park won “BEST PUBLIC SPACE” at the Russian Innovations Awards.

A major redevelopment of the Soviet-era Nagatino Park, Dream Island is designed as the first large-scale leisure destination in Russia, expected to be visited by up to four million people annually.
So this is the Russian government giving themselves an award for something that isn't even completed

According to sources, the roller coaster will load guests in the former Universe of Energy attraction, launching guests through a tunnel into a 10-story tall show building. The coaster will reportedly be a first of its kind ride system, but it remains unclear how it will differ from a conventional ride.

The attraction will mark the very first roller coaster for Epcot in its 35 year history, the last remaining Disney Park on earth without one.
