This morning in Beijing, the contractor for Universal Beijing, Beijing Construction Engineering Group Co Ltd, brought the Chinese media out to showcase their "Miscellaneous Soils Recycling Program." The program uses a specially-built temporary disposal production line that processes the "miscellaneous soils" on site into recycled aggregate and reduced soil, which is then used for backfilling the earth at the site. This machinery is located at the construction site west of the theme park towards where the second theme park will eventually be built. The contractor announced that "the first construction phase of the Universal Studios theme park in Beijing is going smoothly." Pictured is photos of the disposal production line from today and the cranes seen in the background are for the theme park. Additional photos of the recycling program from earlier this year can be found on post #132 on this thread: https://www.themeparx.com/universal-studios-beijing/?p=11429#post11429

Huss Park Attractions has announced that the first project of its Explorer film based attraction will open at Cancun’s Riviera Maya in Mexico in 2019 at the new Amikoo Resort Destination Theme Park, currently being developed and scheduled to open next year.

The Amikoo attraction will take visitors on a deep sea exploration around the seas of Mexico to discover the varied sea life.

The Explorer provides the sensation of being immersed under the ocean by utilising cutting-edge technology, unrestricted views towards a 360° screen supporting large-format images, suitable sound effects, scents which pervade the ambience and the descending/ascending movement of the rider carrier.

A themed boarding area will initially engage visitors in the adventure. Guests will enter the 70-seat gondola, themed as a submarine, from a docking bay before it sinks into the deep abyss. The Amikoo Explorer also offers a mix of entertainment and education, featuring messages to raise awareness about the care of the planet and an emphasis on the oceans and bio-diversity.

Kind of difficult to see from the angle and clarity of these three images but the part of the island in the foreground in the first two are the ocean park and waterpark and the right side of the third photo is the theme park.

Installation of Sea TREK, a guided underwater walking tour designed for non-swimmers and guests to experience the thrill of helmet diving face-to-face with marine life, began recently at Atlantis Sanya's The Lost Chambers Aquarium. Sea TREK will take place in the aquarium's main tank which features sharks, stingrays and various other species of fish. The experience will open in the coming months.

As seen in this recent photo, construction continues at Dolphin Cay Theatre, which will be opening towards the end of 2018:

Guest interactions with the resort's dolphins, seals/sea lions, and beluga whales are now in full swing:

With an innovative design by Legacy | GGE, the family resort in South Korea is expected to open in mid 2021.

The first phase of Lotte's Magic Forest will feature over a dozen family rides and attractions, anchored by two signature roller coaster experiences in an area of over 100,000 square meters. The new theme park will have its own unique design, completely different from Lotte World and unlike any theme park within Asia today, with six themed zones inspired by a different element of nature
“Lotte's Magic Forest” will be located in Busan’s Osiria district, adjacent to the company’s existing East Busan Lotte Outlet Complex. The new park will accompany a host of other attractions to be constructed in the nearby area, including a hillside Luge, and an expanded retail mall. Site work is anticipated to begin this summer, with construction following in early 2019.
