  1. Since San Diego's Belmont Park was revitalized in 1990, it has remained largely unchanged, save for the addition of several flat rides. A few years ago, the park's owners engaged Legacy Entertainment for an exploratory exercise to look at ways in which the park could be revitalized and brought into the 21st century. The design approach depicted in these images was inspired by the client's prompt of "Celebrating San Diego of the Past, Present, and Future", with different themed districts representing each of these time periods. If you grew up in San Diego, you may recognize re-creations of some of the city and park's most fantastical lost architecture.

  2. Beyond Vidanta's Mexico Nuevo Vallarta project, Cirque du Soleil and Legacy Entertainment have collaborated on a wide array of theme park and resort project proposals around the world. These breathtaking illustrations depict one such design for a mega integrated resort in Southeast Asia. For this project, WhiteWater collaborated closely with the Cirque and Legacy teams to help develop what would have been the "Water Park of the Future".

Shinsegae Property Consortium has been picked as a preferred bidder to operate a theme park complex on 3.15 square kilometers of land in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, the company said Thursday.
The construction for Hwaseong International Theme Park has been stalled twice since 2007. In 2016, the landowner K-Water failed to sign a contract with a consortium to build a Korean version of Universal Studios due to lack of funds.

The latest consortium consists of Shinsegae Property, which operates Starfield, and Shinsegae Construction. It will put 4.57 trillion won ($4 billion) to construct a tourism complex which includes a theme park, leisure and commercial facilities including a hotel, shopping mall and golf course.

The company said it plans to break ground in 2021 to open theme park facilities in 2026 and complete the construction by 2031.

According to the group, the complex will have an unprecedented concept, themed on K-pop and regional features such as the Shihwa Lake and dinosaur fossil site.

Xuzhou Amusement Land is part of the overall Xuzhou Paradise Resort in China which was due to open in March 2020 but is delayed.

An update from Xuzhou Paradise where test openings have begun. The park features a custom mine train along with an SLC and spinning coaster from Golden Horse. The star of the show though will be the Mack built Blue Fire clone.

Parc Astérix completes its accommodation offer with a third hotel
Welcome to the heart of the famous Lutèce! At the time, the city was organized around the Seine and had a vibrant commercial and cultural life. It is said that at nightfall, the quays filled up visibly and that laughter and the clanging of mugs were answered from one bank to the other. This is how the hotel Les Quais de Lutèce was designed, connecting the two banks of the Seine, as an authentic witness to the Roman art of living.

This third hotel will also have 150 rooms and will complement the Parc Astérix hotel offer . It will also have its own seminar center, but also a swimming pool and a spa. The scenography signed Thierry Retif incorporates the codes of this ancient theme, transporting visitors in an authentic and friendly atmosphere.

Able to accommodate up to 4 to 5 people, each room of around 30m² offers well-being and harmony of colors (sienna, brown, beige and sand). Comfortable and functional, with custom-designed furniture, these rooms are equipped with TV, free Wi-Fi, telephone, dressing room and air conditioning.

The hotel also stands out for its production of hot water supported by 70 m² of solar panels installed on the roofs, but also by its wooden elements and facades from eco-responsible and sustainable French forests. The Park's commitment is also reflected in the collaboration with almost exclusively local subcontracting companies.

Another China park restarts construction after Coronavirus delays.

Work has restarted on the Nickelodeon theme park, with developers given the green light to start work again on the US$750m (£647m, €688m) Mall of China development.
The 92,000sq ft (8,500sq m) park will feature 14 Nickelodeon IPs including Dora the Explorer, Sponge Bob Square Pants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Paw Patrol, and will feature 29 attractions, including Asia's first tilting drop tower attraction and an indoor coaster. Themed around the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the ride will break four world records for indoor coasters, including highest drop, most inversions, longest track and fastest maximum speed.

The park was originally slated for a December 2020 opening, however, will most likely be delayed due to the disruption in construction.
