Merlin just bought the IP rights to Peppa Pig (outside of the UK at least) and it looks like they plan to open a park alongside LEGOLAND Shanghai that is completely Peppe Pig themed.

Your wish for a Disneyland was granted in 2016, and soon after came promises of a Hello Kitty Theme Park and a Legoland. And the frenzy doesn't stop there. Rumour has it, we'll be welcoming a new Peppa Pig World by 2022!
According to The Paper, the plan to build Peppa Pig World(s) in Beijing and Shanghai was confirmed by Merlin Entertainment's Chinese delegates at the recent China Intellectual Property & Innovation Summit. The rumoured location pinned somewhere on the banks of Dianshan Lake, a scenic natural reserve a day-trip away from central Shanghai. This news does contradict with the company's other recent decision to exclude China and the UK from its expansion deal, we can only hope for the best.

Sanad Capital’s current focus is the development of a major integrated tourism project at 2652 Steve Irwin Way, Sunshine Coast, Queensland.

ACTVENTURE is a $AUD450m integrated lifestyle, tourist and active theme park development and the only major integrated tourism resort on the iconic Sunshine Coast, Queensland Australia.

ACTVENTURE will be the only destination in the world that will combine a major waterpark, hotel and conference facilities, retail, world class surf wave pool, action sports and other modern leisure activities. Stage 1 of the project which combines the waterpark, ACTVENTURE tower, and the Cove retail has an estimated construction cost of $AUD150m and is forecasted to attract up to 1 million visitors annually.

Hawana Salalah Aqua Park updated photos

  7. That Amikoo project looks amazing. They have many interesting rides like the coaster of How to train your dragon in Dubai and the Harry Potter Hogwarts. I really hope it's well done because they will have some competition with the Cirque du Soleil in Vallarta.

  8. Haven't seen this project on the website yet:

An $840 million theme park called Amikoo will be developed on the country’s Caribbean coast – north of the resort city of Playa del Carmen.

Amikoo is the Mayan pronunciation of “amigo,” meaning friend.

The park’s attractions will celebrate Mexican culture: with cartoon characters representing figures adapted from Mexican culture.

This week, Walt Disney World filed permits for the Tron coaster with the state of Florida, revealing how the new attraction will fit into Tomorrowland in the Magic Kingdom.

Walt Disney World’s Tron coaster will be modeled after Tron Lightcycle Power Run at Shanghai Disneyland. The coaster-style attraction invites guests to board a train of two-wheeled Lightcycles for a ride through Tron’s high-tech universe.

The Tron coaster (labeled MK2 on the map below) is being built on land adjacent to Space Mountain.
