Legoland Malaysia is set to open later this year, and Firdaus and his team of 31 builders only have until June to create the perfect world from Lego - all 50 million pieces of them.

"We are expecting a million visitors in the first year," said Boerst. The company in charge of opening LEGOLAND Malaysia, Merlin Entertainment, has opened 78 attractions successfully and Boerst feels that LEGOLAND Malaysia will be able to draw crowds from this region.

There are plans for a water park next year and a hotel in 2014. Boerst spent the last 20 years building theme parks and he enjoys every bit of it.
