  1. I was thinking more of seeing the train run backwards from an spectators view. Maybe it will not be as bad as I am thinking.

  2. No loop, the tracks bifurcate in the middle of the course and the trains pass each other. The trains will indeed run backwards if you take it from Hogwarts -> Diagon Alley, but you won't be able to see the engine when you board at that station, keeping up the illusion.

The engine will be visible when you board at London and will head in the "correct" direction.

  3. That's a very good question!

  4. If there is no loop for the hogwarts express, does this mean the Train will be running backwards half of the time??

  5. Disney and more speculates that the coaster concept in this video will be used for the upcoming Diagon Alley Gringott's ride:

The Hogwarts Express has arrived at Universal! The iconic locomotive and train tender was placed on the tracks between the two theme parks today.

Just like in the books and films – guests will be able to board the Hogwarts Express and travel between The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade, which is open at Islands of Adventure, and ‘London’ when The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley opens at Universal Studios Florida next year.

Universal Orlando says the Hogwarts Express locomotive is now on place on the tracks that will connect the two sides of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios theme parks.
