“We've realized that there’s now a serious supply of theme parks in Dubai,” Khammas told Arabian Business, in an exclusive interview.

The photos below are off Emirates Road, and that area plus the area with the Universal arch is not owned by Al Ahli. They own the stretch of land just past the Outlet Mall, ie further up Al Ain Road. The temporary events venue Autism Rocks Arena is on their land and can be seen on Googlemaps. It is close to the abandoned Universal site with the circular berms, but immediately adjacent to Al Ain Road instead.
20th Century Fox World Dubai will be delayed until 2020.
Futhermore, the Doha Oasis will open that year in Qatar, A 20th Century Fox park is planned for 2020 and a SeaWorld park in 2022.

Next to Dubai Outlet Mall. It's where they were originally going to put Universal Studios back in 2008. The Universal arch might still be there, though I heard they were going to take it down (finally).
What was the exact proposed location for the Fox Dubai park? Can anyone pinpoint on Google Maps?
Just a few notes:
The Fox Studios theme park has been more or less dead in the dirt since it's announcement at the end of 2015. Buzz has gone radio silent and there has been no movement as far as construction. Fox Studios was originally planned to be an entire land at Motiongate Dubai theme park, joining the likes of DreamWorks Animation and Sony Pictures Studios. However, Fox dropped out of the IP running with plans to make an entire theme park in the region. So it is highly unlikely that Fox Studios will be part of the Dubai Parks and Resorts development. This open IP space at Motiongate Dubai was filled by Lionsgate. A little before opening of Motiongate Dubai, the Sony Pictures Studios land got changed to Columbia Pictures.
